Testimonials & Collaboration

Leilee Weyerhaeuser, Board of the Museum of Glass
“Wow Cindy!
That was such a success! This group of people learned so much together in the process you led! I am very thrilled that we got through the gauntlet of hurdles to get this Training Session set-up and now have fine results to build on further.
I didn’t realize how much I would enjoy your presentation. You helped people feel relaxed and curious while opening tender emotional material. It was fun and interesting. You covered a lot of material quite quickly, so there was lots to think about and to mull over now.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!”
– Leilee Weyerhaeuser, Board Member of the Museum of Glass

Pastor Eyde, Newport Presbyterian Church
“We are so grateful for Dr. Caldwell expertly coaching our leaders through an assessment process that led us into critical conversations about implicit bias, privilege, and power.
Her facilitated training has helped to get us on our way to become more engaged as diversity practitioners in our community, because we clearly see that diversity work has always been gospel work.”

The Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force
The Pierce County Community Engagement Task Force (PCCETF) uses an innovative community engagement framework to integrate services with a comprehensive, multi-faceted approach to foster economic mobility of Pierce County individuals and families.
The framework and purpose for reducing implicit bias in community engagement is based on the principles that respect the rights and voices of all community members by keeping them informed, consulted, involved, and empowered. Their areas of focus and plan for achieving them are as follows:
- Leadership. Understand community needs vs. organizational wants in order to create equitable access to services.
- Organizational Structure. Rebranding professionalism and interagency integration. Create direct access to leadership and decision makers in our community.
- Outreach & Engagement. Build trust within Pierce County among those we have historically underserved, including having a clear “ask” with transparent decision making.
- Providers/Community. Bridge the gap between what the system provides and what the community needs, by taking a human-centered design approach.
